The popularisation of smartphones has changed our lives. The phone is replacing our wallet and it is safe to say that for most people it is the most personal device. However, this convenience generates threats since smartphones are a constant target for cybercriminals due to the huge possibilities of their exploitation. Mobile behavioural verification protects applications installed on smartphones against unauthorised use. MobileSecure technology analyses the behaviour of the device owner and develops its behavioural model. If the behaviour changes, which could mean that someone else is using the phone, mobile behavioural verification will act in accordance with the alert policy.

What data does Mobile behavioural verification analyse?

  • The position of the device in space (gyroscope).
  • Acceleration values of the device (accelerometer).
  • Typing data (the time the key is pressed, number of letters changed at once, number of letters before changing, information whether it is a letter, number or other character).
  • The points on the screen that the user touches.
  • Information on when the on-screen keyboard is turned on and off.

The behavioural model system is unbreakable as each of us has a unique style of using the device. This is due to the structure of the hand, being right or left-handed, habits or customs. This ensures that any anomalies are quickly detected and threats neutralised.

The system operates in the background and does not require any authentication action from the user, while being more effective than traditional solutions such as SMS tokens.

We do not collect sensitive data. The system does not analyse the content, but only the use of the device itself.
